Learn-To-Swim Program
Preschool 1 - 5 & Swimmer 1 - 6
The Lifesaving Society’s Learn-to-Swim Program (Preschool 1 - 5, Swimmer 1 - 6) develops swimmers’ foundational and technical skills through a progressive, age-appropriate curriculum.
At Baybrook, this program is delivered using a supportive, confidence-building approach that helps swimmers feel comfortable, capable, and confident in the water. Lessons are offered as private 30-minute lessons for all levels, with optional 1-hour lessons available for swimmer in Swimmer levels 5 and 6.
Pricing & Options
OPTION A: Private 30-Minute Lessons
• 1 instructor : 1 swimmer - $271.20 (HST included in this price)
• 8 private lessons (30 minutes each), Monday - Thursday over 2 consecutive weeks, same time each day
• Designed for Levels: Preschool 1-5, Swimmer 1-6
OPTION B: Private 1-Hour Lessons
• 1 instructor : 1 swimmer - $542.40 (HST included in this price)
• 8 private lessons (1 hour each), Monday - Thursday over 2 consecutive weeks, same time each day
• Designed for Levels: Swimmer 5 & 6 *
*When scheduling 1-hour private lessons for swimmers in Levels 5 & 6, families should consider day camps, age, and other summer activities.
Canadian Swim Patrol Program
Rookie Patrol, Ranger Patrol, & Star Patrol
The Lifesaving Society’s Canadian Swim Patrol Program (Rookie Patrol, Ranger Patrol, and Star Patrol) is designed for swimmers ages 8 - 12 ready to advance beyond Swimmer 6, the final level of the Learn-to-Swim program. This program prepares swimmers for the Lifesaving Society’s Bronze awards by developing strong swim strokes alongside essential first aid and rescue skills.
Lessons are offered exclusively in a semi-private format with two swimmers and one instructor and are taught in 1-hour increments only.
Two swimmers at the same level (Rookie, Ranger, or Star) is required. If a partner is not available, families may indicate this on the registration form, and we will assist with pairing when possible.

Adult Program
Adult 1 - 3
The Lifesaving Society’s Adult Program (Adult 1 - 3) welcomes late teen and adult swimmers of all levels, whether you are just starting out, looking for a fun and effective way to exercise, or hoping to swim alongside your children.
This program focuses on building confidence, improving stroke technique, and developing comfort in the water in a safe and supportive environment.
Lessons are offered in private 30-minute or private 1-hour lessons, with flexible scheduling and one-on-one instruction tailored to your pace, experience, and personal goals.

For the safety of our swimmers and instructors, participation in our Adult Program is subject to the following health and fitness guidelines.
Age Guidelines
Our Adult Program is generally designed for adults under the age of 55.
Adults 55 and over may be considered on a case-by-case basis if they are able to provide information about their general health, mobility, and fitness level. Acceptance for swimmers over 55 cannot be guaranteed.
Health & Fitness Requirements (All Adult Swimmers)
Participants must:
Be in good general health and able to participate in moderate physical activity
Have no known heart conditions, cardiovascular disease, or history of cardiac events
Have no uncontrolled medical conditions that could pose a risk during physical activity (including but not limited to respiratory, neurological, or balance-related conditions)
Have no medical conditions requiring close medical supervision during exercise
Be free from recent surgeries or injuries that limit mobility or physical exertion
Be able to safely enter and exit the pool independently
Have sufficient mobility, balance, and strength to participate safely in a private lesson setting
Weigh under 250 lbs, based on pool safety and instructional considerations
Be comfortable in chest-deep water and able to follow verbal instructions
All adult swimmers are assessed during their first lesson to ensure the program is a safe and appropriate fit. If we feel that participation may pose a safety concern, we reserve the right to decline or discontinue lessons and may recommend alternative programs.
