Policies
Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk
Swimming and the associated training activities involve risks including risk of personal injury, death, property damage, expense, and related loss, including loss of income. Included in these risks are negligence on the part of Baybrook Swim School, its employees, other participants, and owners of the facilities where the activities occur. You are to freely accept and fully assume all such risks and the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage, expense, and related loss, including loss of income.
Weather
Swim lessons at Baybrook Swim School continue during the rain, but not when there is thunder, lightning, or extreme weather in its immediate area. As weather conditions in your area may not be the same, you are to arrive for each lesson if you have not heard otherwise from Baybrook Swim School. Baybrook Swim School cancels their lessons in 30 minute increments, so please do your best to contact Baybrook as early as possible. If you choose to not come to a lesson due to weather, but Baybrook Swim School has not canceled the lesson, you will NOT be eligible for a refund or a make-up lesson.
Parental Supervision
Your child must be supervised by a parent and/or guardian when they are not in the water. Children cannot enter or go near the pool until called by the instructor.
As your child is instructed in their lesson, parents and/or guardians are not to involve themselves (verbally or physically) with the lesson, instructor, or my child unless requested by the instructor. If you choose to watch your child’s lesson, please keep an appropriate distance to ensure that they are not distracted during their lesson.
Registration Fees
A 50% deposit is due via e-transfer baybrookswim@gmail.com within 24 hours upon receiving a confirmation email from Baybrook Swim School to reserve the agreed upon lesson times. The remainder of the payment is due via e-transfer within 30 days of the scheduled lessons commencing.
When sending e-transfers, your name, your child's name, and the sessions that your are paying for are to be included in the "notes" section of the transfer. If this is not possible, please follow up the e-transfer with an email to baybrookswim@gmail.com confirming payment. Baybrook Swim School will provide an invoice upon completion of lessons.
Absence & Make-Up Policy
As stated, Baybrook Swim School will postpone lessons due to thunder, lightning, extreme weather, staffing, or pool issues. In this case, a make-up lesson will be provided.
There may be situations in which a student is absent on a day that Baybrook Swim School has not canceled a lesson due to reasons listed above.
If a student is absent due to sickness, and emergency, or an unexpected situation (i.e. funeral, family tragedy), a make-up lesson will be attempted to be rescheduled on the Friday of the same week, although not guaranteed. Refunds will not be available.
If a student is absent as a result of something other than sickness, an emergency, or an unexpected situation (such as birthday parties, sporting events, day trips, vacations, forgetting about a lesson, etc.) a make-up lesson will NOT be provided. Refunds will not be available.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Baybrook Swim School has a strict NO cancelation policy. In matters of special or unique circumstances, and under the complete discretion of Baybrook Swim School, cancelations and refunds may be issued if ALL of the following criteria are met:

2. Notice is provided via email to baybrookswim@gmail.com.
3. There is an existing wait list from which your spot can be filled by another interested party.
